The luminal aspect of the wall demonstrates intimal hyperplasia as well as disruption and loss of internal elactic lamina. D, Aorta from a MAB-treated WKHT rat shows orderly arrangement of smooth muscle cells, a prominent internal elastic lamina, and no appreciable inflammatory infiltrate.
