This may include key points from each of the sections in the rest of the poster. Based on your hypothesis, what innovation do you propose to try to solve the health issue under question? Significance point 1 Significance for patients………………. Background Significance point 2 What does the literature say about the health-focused question your group is trying to answer? What is known and where are the gaps in the knowledge? This section should refer heavily to the literature. Other kinds of significance………………. (You can illustrate your process and findings using visuals, such as illustrations, tables, graphs, charts, diagrams, or photos. Make sure to give any image subtext to explain its importance. Visuals will make your poster more eye-catching and will help viewers digest your information. However, you don’t want to overdo it with too many visuals, which may become distracting.) (Be wary of copyright infringements. Images pulled from the internet are often copyrighted, so ensure that you search for images in the creative commons and use your own photos and images when possible. (Limit your font choices to one or two typefaces, one for titles and one for content. You can add emphasis using bolded typeface, italics, and color. Text should be sized according to importance, meaning titles and important information are larger than supplementary information. It’s also important that you make sure the font sizes and styles you use are readable from six feet away from the poster. ) Acknowledgements Figure 1. Graph showing…. What human or institutional resources did you use during your process of developing your ideas and your poster? Fig. 2. Image demonstrating…… Thank you to Printing Services at UW-Eau Claire for printing this poster.
