Positioning Patient erect with back against bucky
Align the midline with midline Raise chin slightly No rotation

CR perpendicular to IR at about T7
3-4 inches below Jugular notch SID 40 Light field about 1 ½ above light field

Oblique ribs 14 x 17 lengthwise 32 Collimate to skin borders

Positioning Patient Erect or supine
Place side of interest closest to IR for Posterior Place side of interest away from IR if anterior Rotate patient 45 degrees so injury is away from spine. Raise arm on injury side out of the way Align midway between spine and lateral margin of the side of interest to Midline of bucky.

CR is perpendicular SID 40 Area of interest mid way between Lateral margin of ribs and spine
