The Independent Development Trust
The IDT is Schedule II Public Entity established in 1990 Governed by the PFMA. Accounts to Parliament through the Minister of Public Works. Board of Trustees is the Accounting Authority.

The Mission Statement The IDT’s mission is to enable poor communities to access resources, and to recognise and unlock their own potential to continuously improve the quality of their lives
