2 ARES Amateur Radio Emergency Service®
The Amateur Radio Emergency Service® (ARES) consists of licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment, with their local ARES leadership, for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes.

3 RACES Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service
Administered by local, county and state emergency management agencies, and supported by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) of the United States government. It is a part of the Amateur Radio Service that provides radio communications for civil-preparedness purposes only, during periods of local, regional or national civil emergencies. These emergencies are not limited to war-related activities, but can include natural disasters such as fires, floods and earthquakes. As defined in the rules, RACES is a radio communication service, conducted by volunteer licensed amateurs, designed to provide emergency communications to local or state civil-preparedness agencies. It is important to note that RACES operation is authorized by emergency management officials only, and this operation is strictly limited to official civil-preparedness activity in the event of an emergency-communications situation.

4 SATERN Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network
SATERN is dedicated to  assisting The Salvation Army during times of emergency. To provide all possible forms of communication when normal communications are impossible, and through cross training, assist The Salvation Army in any way possible. SATERN is an Amateur Radio operator volunteer based organization.

5 ICS IC The Incident Command System (ICS)
is a systematic tool used for the command, control, and coordination of emergency response according to the United States Federal Highway Administration. IC incident commander The incident commander is the person responsible for all aspects of an emergency response; including quickly developing incident objectives, managing all incident operations, application of resources as well as responsibility for all persons involved
