Figure 1 A, An Endurant II (Medtronic Inc, Galway, Ireland) aortic extension stent graft was deployed ex vivo. B, The stent graft was flipped inside out, with the anchor pins removed and total length trimmed to approximately 3 cm. C, Bi-semilunar tricusp design on an ePTFE membrane. D, A number 21 Hegar dilator was put inside the flipped stent graft during suturing of the trileaflet ePTFE membrane to the stent graft. E, The final appearance of the handmade trileaflet valved stent graft. F, The accomplished stent graft was reloaded into the delivery device. Figure 2 A, Pulmonary angiography was performed to identify the expected position for stent graft deployment. B, The stent graft was deployed under fluoroscopy guidance, but it was deployed a little distally to the right pulmonary bifurcation. C, The valved stent graft could be seen after the main pulmonary artery was opened. It was withdrawn directly to the expected position and then fixed at the main pulmonary artery with several 6-0 polypropylene sutures. D, Postoperative chest x-ray showed that the handmade valved stent graft was in an adequate position.
