This lesson was organized in order to enable students to recognizE geometrical figures in everyday life. It was based on the CLIL approach. STEP 1 Students look at some pictures given by the teacher, reproducing and writIng the name of the shapes recognized.

Step 2 Solve the crucipuzzle and then complete the definition given filling in the blancs. The cone is a ……… figure bounded by a …… base in the ………. of a circle tapering to a fixed point (the …….. ) A circle is a plane figure bounded by one ………..every point of which is equally ………. from a fixed point called the ……….. Square is a geometric ………. having four equal …….. and four right ………. This exercise is differentiated in order to give each student the opportunity to solve it in a successful way. At the end of this lesson, students recognize geometric figures and understand that geometry is not something distant from reality but affects any aspect of everyday life.
