The focus of the lesson is to create and interpret graphs of data, paying attention to measures of center, spread, and shape of a graph. CCSS emphasizes terms such as center and variability – CPM emphasizes terms of mean and range. Teachers should connect the two and use both types to ensure student understanding. Problem 8-15 should be included on this day. (8-12, 8-13, and 8-14)
