novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 novel database pro Highlights novel Database Pro consists of: - -pedar / emed data files - -Data of patients - -Additional files (i.e. ASCII, photo, etc.) - -Analyzed Parameters and Statistical Results Tool for adding user specified fields Calculation of basic parameters Access to all novel programs

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Main Features The following section describes the main features of the database including: Tables Menus Speed Bars Running Analysis software from database

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Run application It is possible to execute selected novel software programs from the database. Please note: the parameters available for analysis are dependent on the analysis software packages purchased.

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Records patient visits (1) (2) general data foot data (1), (2) user fields parameters, statistics data files additional files The following section describes the screens where data for each patient are entered. The list below describes the general categories in which the data fields are located.

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Patient

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Visits (1)

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Visits (2)

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 General data

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Foot data (1)

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Foot data (2)

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 User Fields User defined records (fields) can be created using this option to suit your application. The fields are automatically stored in the database and are available for all entries.

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Parameters and Statistics These tables contain the results of the data analysis novel projects calculated with novel projects

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Data Files These tables contain the data files and standard parameters

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Additional Files Here you can store some additional information e.g. multi-media files

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Display Now that the data for each patient are entered, you can choose the fields that you want to display in the database. All of the information is stored, but you dont have to have all fields selected for viewing. The following section shows how fields are selected for viewing.

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Fields Select the fields you would like to display in the database from the left side and use the green arrows to move them to the right side. Using the yellow arrows and the 123 sequences, you can choose the order the fields will appear in.

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Accessing Data Once the data are in the database you can look at the data in many ways by building queries. Queries are used to gather specific information from the database. For example, a query could be built to list all patients that are female and had peak pressures above 50 N/cm 2. These queries can be saved for repeated use. They can also be printed to have a hardcopy report of data in the database. The following section will describe these options.

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Build Query The following query will display all patients over 50 years old with temporary sensation loss in the right or left foot who have had diabetes for more than 5 years and have peak pressures greater than 60 N/cm 2 in the forefoot of the left or right foot.

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 Print Report By selecting the print report button, the query that has just been executed can be printed. All or part of the query can be printed. The entire database can also be printed using this same icon.

novel gmbh 2001 April 2001novel database pro 9.3 novel database pro advantages creation of custom database for patients flexible database structure integration of pedar & emed data files execution of novel programs calculation of standard pressure parameters
