6 NSRP Program Mission Manage and focus national shipbuilding and ship repair research & development funding on technologies and processes that will: Reduce the total ownership cost of ships for the U.S. Navy, other national security customers and the commercial sector Develop and leverage best commercial and naval practices to improve the efficiency of the U.S. shipbuilding and ship repair industry Provide a collaborative framework to improve shipbuilding- related technical and business processes Reduce the total ownership Develop and leverage best practices Proposed Presenter: Glinatsis collaborative

The Research Announcement (RA) consistently receives more proposals than can be funded, enabling a down-select for better, highest impact projects.

71% In use in at least one shipyard 58 41 12 Completed Projects In use in at least one shipyard Planned for use in at least one shipyard 21% Planned for use in at least one shipyard Got rid of “Implementation” According to NSRP shipyard responses: 71% of the RA projects are implemented in at least one NSRP shipyard. 21% of the RA projects are not implemented but are planned to be in at least one NSRP shipyard. 8% of the RA projects are not implemented and not planned to be implemented in any NSRP shipyards. Additionally, 33% of the RA projects are implemented in two or more NSRP shipyards. 67% of the RA projects are still planned in at least one NSRP shipyard and 33% of the RA projects are still planned in two or more NSRP shipyards.
