4. Tips for IELTS Listening-Matching
1. Before starting to listen, carefully read the numbered and lettered lists.
2. The questions would always be in the same order as you would hear it in the recording.
3. The ideas in the lists might not be expressed in the same way as those in the recording. These options might not be listed in the right order in the recording.
4. When you've chosen something from the list, put a line through it so you won't get to use it again.

1. Lose your focus, got distracted?
2. It is impossible to process all the information.
3. Reading speed is too slow to finish skimming the list.
4. You may panic as you miss one or two questions.

8. Tips for IELTS Reading- True, False, Not Given Question
The most important thing to remember is what the words ‘true’, ‘false’ and ‘not given’ actually mean :
1.If the text agrees with or confirms the information in the statement, the answer is TRUE
2.If the text contradicts or is the opposite to the information in the statement, the answer is FALSE
3.If there is no information or it is impossible to know, the answer is NOT GIVEN
True means that the meaning is the same. If the statement and the text are just similar then it is FALSE.
There probably will be matching words for NOT GIVEN answers, they just don’t have enough information to answer the question as a whole.

9. Common Problems candidates face in IELTS Reading- True, False, Not Given Question
1.The biggest problem here is the ‘not given’ option. Most students are not sure what to look for.
They also spend too much time making sure that it is ‘not given’ and this affects the rest of their test.
2. Students may focus on keywords instead of understanding the statement as a whole to identify if it is true or false.
3.Some students identify keywords and then trying to find exact words in the text. You can do this, but more often the words will be synonyms
