4. Answers
The separation of the church. Now it was divided into East-West.
Many examples: they tell stories, they are of exceptional quality and craftsmanship, they left viewers in awe, etc. Mosaics covered church walls and ceilings in the Byzantine empire. They were one of the most popular art forms in the Empire.
European Christians/Crusaders
The Ottoman Turks, their leader was Mehmed II
Multiple factors led to the fall of the Empire: plague, debt that Justinian left the empire with from military spending, Persians began to attack borders, Arab tribes conquering lands, Crusaders, Turks taking over the Empire

5. Objective: you will be able to explain how the differences in the development of Christianity in the East and West led to a split in the church & you will be able to explain the factors that weakened the Byzantine Empire and ultimately destroyed it
