Stone Age – earliest known period of human culture, tools were made of stone
Paleolithic Age - “Old Stone Age” – humans as nomadic hunter-gatherers Neolithic Age - “New Stone Age” – humans as settled farmers

hunter-gatherers – early humans who moved constantly to follow food sources
