Young Life Gone A young man who died in WWI When his family got his personal belonging, his bible had these verses double underlined: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life. Nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

3 Given Up “These fallen heroes have given up two lives, one that they left and the one that would have been.” Ronald Reagan They gave up the possibilities of being married, having children, being grandparents. These fallen heroes are young men, primarily late teens and twenties.

4 Perfect Love “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do what I command.” John 15:12-14 Jesus did not for country, he died for all of humanity.

5 Humbled Himself Philippians 2:5-11
Perfect love can only be expressed in humility.

6 Remember Let us never forget who brought our freedoms we enjoy. “They have handed us a torch, and we have a responsibility to see that they have not died in vain.” Billy Graham Let us remember the Lord Jesus Christ and alll He has done for us so that we might be saved from eternal punishment for our sins. 1 John 4:7-10
