Relationship between the premature ventricular contraction (PVC) prevalence and change in left ventricular diastolic dimension (ΔLVDd) during the 4-year or 5.6 (1.7)-year observational periods. Relationship between the premature ventricular contraction (PVC) prevalence and change in left ventricular diastolic dimension (ΔLVDd) during the 4-year or 5.6 (1.7)-year observational periods. The ΔLVDd was calculated as (LVEF at the evaluation time point)−(initial LVEF). The left panel shows the data after the basic 4-year follow-up, and the right panel the data at the latest follow-up. Although most of the patients exhibited only small changes in the LVDd measurement, several patients exhibited a relatively large increase in the LVDd, and there was a weak but significant positive correlation between the PVC prevalence and ΔLVDd for both the 4-year and 5.6 (1.7)-year follow-ups.
