7. Anne Sullivan
Anne Sullivan was a teacher who taught a blind and deaf child named, Hellen Keller. Anne was born on April , in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts. She was the best teacher known for teaching Hellen. Anne and the two siblings that survived at birth had to grow up in impoverished conditions and also struggled with health problems. At the age of five, she got an eye disease called, trachoma.(Trachoma severely damages your eye sight.) Her mother died when she was eight years old. Anne attended the Perkins school for the blind in the 1800’s, and underwent surgery to help improve her limited vision. Then in June she graduated and presented a speech. At the age of 20 she started teaching Hellen Keller. Hellen learned nearly 600 words because of Anne. Finally, Anne Sullivan died on October 20, 1936 at her home in Forest Hills.

My reaction was that I thought that being a teacher would be cool, fun, and exciting to do because I love teaching little kids and I also love little kids!!
