Today Registration Presentation includes: HS Graduation Plans (FHSP + Endorsements) Personal Graduation Plans (PGP) PSAT 10 School Day Test Course Selection Sheets Dual Credit Options (Academic and CTE) Rest of the Week Individual Course Registration with Counselor(s)

5 Endorsements are pathways of related courses grouped together by interest.

6 Distinguished Level of Achievement (DLA)
Crosby High School students will earn the DLA by successfully completing: (4) credits in math, including Algebra II (4) credits in science At least (1) endorsement requirement All remaining curriculum requirements **A student must earn the DLA to be eligible for the top 10% automatic admission. 14 LEE COLLEGE TUITION Scholarships are available!!
$125 per course per semester plus the cost of books. This is a discounted rate for Dual Enrollment courses. (It is typically $ for general students) Scholarships are available!! Students are responsible for tuition and the cost of books.

1. REQUEST FORM – Due FEB. 1 to Next Level Center 2. Interested students will complete a Lee College application on Feb 27, 7:30am at CHS. 3. TSI testing dates March 20, 2019, 7:30am March 27, 2019, 7:30am Makeup Testing Dates April 3, 2019, 7:30am April 17, 2019, 7:30am

17 Modified Early College Academy
MECA Enrolled in San Jacinto College courses in the morning 7am – 10:00am. Enrolled in CHS classes in the afternoon. Earn an associate’s degree and high school diploma at the same time. Classes are taken on SJC North campus. Transportation is provided to/from CHS.

18 MECA Requirements Incoming JUNIORS only
Must successfully complete Pre-AP Algebra II by end of sophomore year (which means Alg I in MS) Requires some summer course work SJC Dual Request Form – Due Feb 1 to NLC TSI required – testing will be scheduled through CHS March 21 and 22 at SJC Application to San Jacinto College – completed at CHS February 6 – 7:30am February 13, - 7:30am MECA application Students will need to have up-to-date MENINGITIS VACCINE by June 1. Students will need to research their intended 4-yr college to make sure all courses transfer into degree plan. MECA students will typically apply to college at FIRST-TIME FRESHMEN and must meet all freshmen admission requirements, including SAT/ACT scores.

Texas Resident Reduced In–District Tuition 1 class = 3 semester hours: $75.00 2 classes = 6 semester hours: $112.50 4 classes = 12 semester hours: $187.50 Texas Resident Out of District Tuition 1 class = 3 semester hours: approx $108.75 2 classes = 6 semester hours: approx $180.00 4 classes = 12 semester hours: approx $322.50 Out of State and Non Resident Tuition 1 class = 3 semester hours: $157.50 2 classes = 6 semester hours: $277.50 4 classes = 12 semester hours: $517.50 Students are responsible for tuition and the cost of books.

San Jacinto College & Lee College Students earn hours toward a career certification Industry Recognized Certifications or associate’s degree Technical Certificate Program at SJC Enrolled in CHS courses in the morning. Enrolled in San Jacinto College classes in the afternoon. Transportation provided to/from SJC. Lee College courses at CHS campus

21 TUITION and Other COSTS
Crosby ISD covers the cost of tuition for all CTE students. Students are responsible for textbooks and class supplies. Rent or buy USED books MUST BE UP TO DATE on ALL CREDITS at CHS – Summer school if needed

Statistics (3 college hrs) Intro to Geoscience (3 college hrs) Computer Science (3 college hours) Dual enrolled in HS course with curriculum developed by professors at UT Austin Built in support for 1st time dual students On completion students choose to accept or decline the college credit TUITION – Range $99 - $249

26 Dual Credit ENROLLMENT PROCESS
Steps in order to be eligible to receive high school credit for a Dual Credit course Turn in the Dual Credit request forms to the Next Level Center by February 1. BLUE – Lee College WHITE – San Jacinto College 2. Complete the college application and pass the TSI (or use exemptions – SAT, ACT, EOC scores). 3. After all requirements are met, college will enroll students in selected courses. 4. Make payment by deadline and purchase books (if necessary).
