In 2016 service revenues are estimated to fall by 2% based on the results from the first 9 months. The rate of decline is slowing steadily in the past few quarters. The rise in subscribers, voice and data usage is cancelled out by the fall in prices leading to lower service and total revenues The signs of an incipient recovery in the broader economy (GDP increases in Q2 and Q3 2016) have not yet affected the telecommunications industry but may have slowed down the rate of decline source: data analysis from mobile telephony providers

2 Industry’s capex – Q3 2016 The mobile industry, despite the uncertain environment keeps investing in the future. The first 9 months of 2016, capex rose by 37% from the same period in 2015 and exceeded €292M. The industry has invested in the last 3 quarters on average 21% of its service revenues and 54% of its EBITDA The capex presented do not include the spectrum licenses source: data analysis from mobile telephony providers

3 Indicators – Q3 2016 In the first 9 months of 2016, prices per voice minute fell by 4.9% but voice usage increased by 1.4% and the number of subscribers by 3.3%. Impressive growth continues in data usage. In Q3, average revenue per user (ARPU) is lower than last year by 3.1% but higher than previous quarters (€10.3 in Q3) The number of subscribers is at the highest level since the third quarter of 2011 at 16,609 thousand people Data usage is increasing at a rate of 80%* in the third quarter of 2016 compared to last year source: data analysis from mobile telephony providers * Data usage information from two providers

Greece falls short compared to other European countries, in regard to data usage per subscriber, including Romania and Portugal. Even the rate of improvement is slower than other countries despite the lower starting point.
