Our theme this week was Big Red Apples and we did many enjoyable activities related to apples. We read apple stories, sequenced the life cycle of an apple, and we also tasted red, yellow, and green apples. We then graphed our favorite. We made a bar graph and a pictograph. We measured our apples and will compare those lengths to the lengths of our pumpkins from Fulton Farms next week. We predicted which apple food we would like best and then tasted each apple food. For math, we played an apple game where you roll dice and cover an apple tree with apples. We took turns with a partner and the first one to cover their apple tree won. We also worked on fine motor skills using tweezers to pick up red pom-poms and stick on an apple tree. Contact Information; Phone:

Fulton Farms Field Trip
More News…. Fulton Farms Field Trip Our first Kindergarten field trip will be on Friday, October 10th. The field trip will be during regular kindergarten hours. We are going to Fulton Farms to learn about apples and pumpkins. Our field trip will coordinate perfectly with our units on these topics. We received a grant for this trip; therefore there is no cost for students. This grant helps to cover the experience at Fulton Farms including, each child receiving a pumpkin, apple, hayride, and playing in Fulton Farms’ outdoor area. Please dress your child appropriately for this day. We have two volunteers that are riding the bus with us. If you’d like to join, you will need to follow the bus and pay to get in. We would love to have you join in our learning fun. Let me know if you’d like to come.
