get as much done as you can during the summer b/c the teachers are so busy during the school year
they can never get as much done development-wise as they or you hope
"donating" / "providing" equipment to school can generate loyalty and commitment

3. Approaches for RET Supplements
having specific ideas for what the teachers should do
working w/ teachers on the research and then letting them decide what they will do in their classes within their understanding of their contraints

4. Approaches Other Than RET
teacher workshops
pay, even small, provides large motivation
opposite, charge $10 for lunch to generate commitment = $40 for 4-day workshop

5. Must RETs, etc., Create Lessons?
Not necessarily, but the purpose is to move results of research into the classroom
That research must be an extension of your grant, which for CPATH has an educational focus
