The U.S. led an international assault on Iraq in and freed Kuwait Saddam remained in power and refused to work with the UN The U.S. and allied forces moved into Iraq in 2003 Saddam was removed from power The U.S. and allies rebuilt the country What events have shaped U.S. foreign policy toward Iraq? Iraq attacked Kuwait, leading the United States to attack Iraq. President Saddam Hussein refused to cooperate with UN arms inspections, leading the US to remove him from power

In the past, the United States forbade trade with Cuba, but today it allows the donation of humanitarian supplies to people in the country. Also, now the travel ban has been lifted and US and Cuban leaders are working to completely lift the embargo
