including nearly 781 kms of riverine border.
Border is used as a route for
smuggling livestock,
food items,
medicines and drugs
Moreover, illegal immigrants from Bangladesh cross the border to India in search of improving their lives
India-Bangladesh Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) 1974 and the Protocol to LBA signed in 2011.
