k-Means clustering of protein and mRNA expression patterns after PPAR agonists treatments. One-dimensional k-means gene clustering was performed using k = 2. The up (purple)- or down (blue)-regulated mRNAs/proteins are represented in cluster 1 and 2, respectively. The three different PPAR agonists and the days of each treatment are shown on the right. The MS-identified proteins and their corresponding mRNAs are labeled on top of each panel. Two genes (Es1 and Hspa9a) coding reciprocal regulation of mRNA and protein are indicated in red.
