Next steps Prepare test methodology and environment for TBL component prototype characterization, perform the experiments, process the obtained results and deliver the reports (D4.15, MS26 and MS28). Test and characterize the very high flux tolerant detector (solid boron converter, two layer, orthogonal construction) prototype as fallback solution for TBL. Risk factors in achieving these deliverables: unforeseen delays in production of TBL component prototypes. Unforeseen and unlikely non-availability of BNC beamlines. Mitigation: thorough mechanical and automation FAT, pre-manufacturing neutron tests of critical materials, final neutron tests at ESS.
