Tips for a successful project!

2. To ensure the best grade possible, make sure you keep in mind the following:
Use your entire composition on your tile. Consider having elements extend outside of the square or cross over the edges

3. Make your additions have detail and interesting form
Make your additions have detail and interesting form. Consider the edges of the items you cut out. Stay away from cookie-cutter looking edges!

4. Score and slip all items that you join together
Score and slip all items that you join together! Otherwise things can crack apart in the drying and firing process.
Make sure clay is the same stage of dryness (plastic to soft leatherhard) when joining or they can crack apart

5. Clean up and craftsmanship are VERY important
Clean up and craftsmanship are VERY important! Work on smoothing edges and checking the where you join clay so there are no cracked edges! Manage your clay dryness.

6. Sign your name on the back of the tile (use a dull pencil or wooden modeling tool)
Make sure you clean up edges on the bottom too!
