Can be used with any web browser, limited technolgy skills needed
Freely edit and create web page content collaboratively
Communication tool that allows the organization of contributions to be edited in addition to the content itself- “Open Editing”

5. What can I do with a Wiki? To share information, practices, plans
Use as a tool and provide evidence for your Professional Learning Community (PLC), WASC accreditation, etc.
To disseminate information quickly and centrally
Establish transparency with all stakeholders
Promote student “buy in” and academic rigor
Allow students to create an online portfolios and evidence of their learning

With time being one of the most precious commodities administrators have, this session will teach you to improve collaboration among students, parents, and teachers and save time through the use of collaborative workspaces known as wikis. Specifically, you will develop your own wiki that you can put into use immediately and some ideas how to effectively introduce a wiki to staff to improve communication, collaboration, and buy-in at your school site or within your organization.
