2. Understanding your Schedule
Each Schedule has 7 Classes
Spots 1-4: Core classes (Math, Science, ELA and Social Studies)
Spot 5: PE/ PLTW
Spot 6: 7/8 grade elective # 1
Spot 7: 7/8th grade Elective # 2

5. Keep in mind:
Band- instrument rental or purchase $, equipment to carry, evening concert participation and at home practice. ( 2nd floor high school)
Chorus- Outfit cost $, at home practice and evening concert participation. (3rd floor high school)
Guitar- Instrument rental or purchase, equipment to carry, and at home practice. (2nd floor high school)

6. Schedule Puzzle:
Some classes are only offered one period a day, and teachers teach different subjects or levels during the day.
There are times your 1st or 2nd choice isn’t offered a period that is open on your schedule.
Core classes are placed first, then the computer will fill your schedule with any of your top four choices. It will look at your ranking but isn’t always able to match.
If you don’t have a teacher recommendation for your requested elective the computer will skip that request.
I don’t know what or how classes are offered until Mrs. Casey builds the schedule over the summer.

If you must take Honors Biology its only offered 3rd period.
If you want Band I it is also only offered 3rd period.
It wont fit into your schedule.

8. Electronic Submission
This year we will be using google doc’s for you to submit your requests. DUE by Friday 2/8
You will be given an access code by your teacher Monday to join the class and open the form.
You will only be allowed to submit your form once, so choose wisely.
Talk with you parents regarding the cost or time of your elective choices.
I will not change a class because your parent wont pay for the instrument. You know ahead of time it has a cost and should have already discussed with them.

You must fill the * items in correctly or it wont match the information in my scheduling system. Then no items will be selected by you, it will be MY choice.
IT WILL ONLY ALLOW YOU TO SUBMIT THE FORM ONCE.
