Grab a copy of the 4th Six Weeks Test. Read the passage entitled “Using Maps Vs. GPS.”
If you want to use your ChromeBook to have google read you the passage, there is a link in Blend to a copy on Google Docs. (You must have earbuds).

3. A Long Way Gone Chapter 12
As you read, make sure you’re picking quotes. You will need them for today’s activity that will be a grade. Things to look for:
Characterization - changes in Beah, his friends, also the soldiers.
Imagery - specifically violence
Symbolism

4. Socratic Practice- Instructions
There are a list of questions on Blend.
Pick one question to prepare and share with the class. You can’t pick the same question as someone in your group and everyone will be expected to share to get credit for today.
If we run out of time and you don’t get a chance to talk, you can submit your question and answer on Blend either in writing or as a video!

5. Reminders!
Unit test over 1-11 next class. The study guide is on msrolfe.com and Blend.
Turn in your packets! Also, plagiarized or packets that are suspect of being copied from a friend will be given zeros and you will not be able to make them up. I have no tolerance for students who refuse to think for themselves. If you need help, ask me. You know I will help.
Please take care of missing tests/ quizzes, packets and essay grades ASAP! Next week is the cut off.
