2. CHALLENGES TO COLLABORATION AND PARTNERSHIPS
Institutional collaboration is often difficult 
Organizations have unique cultures, functions, and structures which can complicate collaboration
Needs often vary from context to context and a clear assessment of needs is necessary in considering collaboration
Costs and responsibilities must be clearly defined and best expressed in MOUs or contracts

3. BENEFITS OF COLLABORATION, AND PARTNERSHIPS
Collaboration can be effective and extend educational opportunities and services not possible alone
Shared vision and purpose of the collaboration or partnership strengthens the work
Models of effective work can often be adapted and adopted better than developing unique creations
Each organization should be provided benefits that strengthen their mission and operation

What are the resources needed for collaboration?
Could the institution survive and thrive without collaboration?
Are there effective models of collaboration already occurring that we could learn from?
