5 COSMOS (COSMetic Organic Standard)
COSMOS is a Europe-wide private standard that was developed by 5 charters members: BDIH (Germany). Cosmebio (France). Ecocert Greenlife SAS (France). ICEA (Italy). Soil Association (Great Britain). They were all combined under an AISBL (international non-profit organisation based in Brussels) the purpose of which was to set out minimum common requirements, harmonise organic and natural cosmetic certification rules. COSMOS makes use of the principles in the Ecocert standard (January 2003 version): Promote the use of ingredients from organic farming. Use production and manufacturing processes that are environmentally sound and safe for human health. Include and expand the concept of "green chemicals".

8 PFP Samples

9 PFP Samples

10 Pull Test (Opening Force)
Standard: 0.35~1.5kg (Virgin Resin or PFP) Before freeze test: 1.11kg (OK) After freeze test: 0.96kg (OK) Before freeze test: 0.65kg (OK) After freeze test: 0.56kg (OK)

11 Hinge Breakage Test Opening Force and Hinge Strength match same specification as virgin ABS compact.

12 Decoration Test (soy inks)
with tape (3M) NG NG

13 Freezing Test (-20⁰C) Set the freezer to ‐20C and allow the temperate to stabilize, place the sample into the chamber for 7 days. Take out the sample then evaluate if there is crack or damage by visual, and record any findings. No cracking, warping, discoloration or other failures observed.

14 No cracking, warping, discoloration or other failures observed.
Heat Exposure (50⁰C) Heat Tolerance Test (50C) for 7 days No cracking, warping, discoloration or other failures observed.
