The safety window (distance A) from the innermost margin of the tibia (black arrow) to the neurovascular bundles, the depth (distance B) from the skin to the tibialis posterior muscle, and the bony thickness (distance C) from the medial edge (white arrow) to the innermost margin of the tibia (black arrow) were measured at the upper third and midpoint of the tibia. The tibialis posterior is attached at the interosseous membrane (arrowheads). The position of the probe was shown in the right-lower quadrant.
