Getting to Know You
I first want to thank everyone for coming to Curriculum night. I hope it was helpful, and I was so glad to see so many of you there! If you were not able to make it, I sent home the packet of information that was passed out. If anyone has any questions, please let me know.
We had another great week in kindergarten! We completed our ‘All about me’ theme and got to know each other better. We also read a few books about colors, including one of our favorites, ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?’ This is a great book for shared reading! We also continued our name poem, which the kids love.
In math, we will continue to practice writing our numbers as well as counting by 1’s. We will also start to learn about 2D shapes as well.
We continue to work on routines and procedures. The kids are learning so well, and really getting the hang of kindergarten .

We will review the sight words ‘I’ and ‘a’.
We will practice writing our name correctly.
