Genoa and the URBACT Interactive Cities Project As Lead Partner of the project we had the possibility to experiment a way of working based on the importance of collaboration among Municipality, stakeholders, citizens and tourists Social media are an important instrument of city promotion! In these years we widely used social networks, experimented their use and integrating them in a new digital and communication strategy @genovamorethanthis @GenovaEventi @genovamorethanthis

Rolli Ambassadors The Ambassadors
Within the project we realized different actions The Ambassadors Involving influent local and international ambassadors able to spread the imagine and the brand of the city in the social world, using the #genovamorethanthis Rolli Ambassadors During this great art event we launched social media contests with the output to encourage the production of User Generated Content

During the Welcome Erasmus Days, we ask the students incoming to become social Ambassador of our city abroad Foreign students can be a powerful element in our strategy: they are native users of social media and an important resource in involving young people in the social promotion of the city Erasmus Ambassadors

Three local instagramers became the concept and the visual of our main campaign within the project
The output was to stimulate genoese people to become Ambassadors of Genoa themeselves. We launched a dedicated social campaign with the #genovafapartedite in collaboration with the main local newspaper «Il Secolo XIX» Make Genoa a part of you #genovafapartedite 7800 photos

Social Media Team The social media team is a working table composed by the main stakeholder of the city It has the task of developing and defining common communication strategies during events and initiatives affecting the promotion of Genoa
