Initial headline analysis compiled
Agreed key stakeholders for Evidence Base collation
Tender spec issued – support for business engagement phase
Met with GFirst LEP to identify collaboration opps

3. Next Steps Activities
Agree Independent Panel members and agree dates / approach
Spin-out LIS SG meetings held to deep-dive on data
Develop tender spec requirements for next phase support – development of final product (includes market engagement piece to understand lack of take-up last time)
Collate views / evidence from WLEP’s Open Call
Amion to commence key stakeholder engagement
Meet with The Marches LEP to identify collaboration opps
Agree and prepare business engagement piece for May

4. Key Risks / Challenges
Capacity from central government to support all LEPs recognising national landscape
Capacity of WLEP – partial receipt of additional capacity funding from central government
Availability of analytical skills and capacity to review Evidence Base – mitigated through external support
Competing priorities – implementation of LEP Review recommendations e.g. Legal personality, LEP Delivery Plan, Local Assurance Framework, Inward Investment, Sustainability of BetaDen, APR recommendations, 5G sustainability, existing LGF programme etc.
