KS5 Marking policy Students will receive, as a minimum either a detailed formative feedback or one summative assessment feedback each half-term, covering both forms of assessment across a term. (For year 12 students formative assessment must be done in Autumn 1.) Consulting the long-term plan to check specific formative and summative assessment requirements is essential. Assessment will either be an essay question, written response based on the assessment objectives or an exam practice depending on the time of year. On top of this students will have their books marked at least once each half term with a Tallis check sticker to help make a judgement against the VESPA criteria and ensure they are meeting the expectations of the course. In year 13, leading up to the final mocks, formative and summative feedback will be given in on half term. All the above does not include coursework marking and redrafting, although this might be your main marking in one half term, depending on the long term plan.
