Settings

2 The Settings Symbol allows you to configure your survey

3 These are the s that the person filling in the survey gets sent and also the s that the survey creator gets. More later You can set a maximum number of people who can answer your survey. Once that limit has been reached the survey will be closed This means that the survey can’t be answered by the same person multiple times If you activate this as “save and continue button” will be added to your survey. If clicked an will then be sent to the person filling in the survey so they can continue later If this is activated even the person who created the survey won’t see any person identifiable information Once activated a respondent can only move forward in answering the survey and can’t go back and change their answers At the end of the survey the respondent can see what they’ve answered. This can be set up so they can make changes to their answers. This randomises all the questions This allows you to set up rule groups – so that the same rules apply to all the questions on a survey. At the end of the survey the respondent is automatically forwarded to a website This allows you to create question categories and group questions by those categories.

4 There are two types of emails available via settings
There are two types of s available via settings. The one that the person filling the survey gets and the one that the survey creator gets. The s that the system sends to someone who has filled in the survey can be configured – although as you can see an automatic acknowledgement of their response is already set up. You can also configure it so if someone answers a specific question, they will be sent an .

5 You can then put your own message into the email
You can also set up your amended as a template so you don’t have to keep typing it

6 Webropol can also send out specific s in response to someone answering a question – so for example if they have said they are part of a specific Sector, they could get a different answer to others. This can also be set as a default or you can attach a file, such as a map or image.

7 The set up for the automatic s that the survey creator can receive is the same. You can get an every time someone has responded or …. You can get an only if they answer a specific question – in this case if they work at GRI

8 The limit number of respondents allows you to set a limit, which when reached will close the survey. So if you only need the first 100 Reponses to a survey this can easily be set up. The “answer only once” mode means that you can’t get people answering the survey multiple times and then potentially changing the outcome.

9 The save and continue later is particularly useful if you think there is a high probability that respondents might be interrupted when answering the survey. However, it might also mean that they never go back and finish the survey. The anonymity settings allow the creator to see the individual survey reposes but not who they have come from. This is useful if you’ll need the addresses to chase people or contact them later, but don’t what to see who’s answered what. Alternatively you could just not have a contact form on your survey to make it truly anonymous..

10 Only moving forward means that the respondent can’t go back and change their answers .
The summary page however, does mean that respondents not only can see all their answers but can also change them – useful if some one has made a mistake.

11 As it says in the description this randomises your questions for you so there can be no bias.
Rule groups allow you to set up rules for how your survey is to run

12 The Forwarding action can direct your respondent to a webpage or report etc. automatically once they have finished your survey The create categories allows you to group questions together under themes.
