How to Fry an Egg By Diego Fisher

Which came first the chicken or the egg?
This cartoon says “who was first?”

Which came first the chicken or the egg?
Lots of historians have asked this question but no one seems to know. No one has any proof either way. One thought by a historian: An animal that was not a chicken laid a chicken egg which contained the first chicken. In this case the egg came first. What do you think?

Chickens have traveled the world in history.
Chickens were first found and were bred in Japan. Once lots of chickens were bred some were exported to Egypt. They became livestock in Rome and Greece. Roman invaders introduced them to England. Chickens came to North and South America near the 1500s because Spanish explorers were bringing them for food.
5
Wherever they are in the World
Chickens lay eggs (well, at least hens do) This cartoon says “Re-chargeable Battery Chickens.” Because chickens that live in a big barn are called “battery” chickens.
6
So how do you fry an egg? There is an easy way and a hard way.
Or you may call it the new way and the old way.
7
The Easy Way Just get parents to go to Publix and buy some of their eggs You can just get the eggs from a carton Get stove ready and fry the egg on a pan
8
The Hard Way Now I will tell you how people fried eggs when there was no stove or store to buy the egg from X
9
The Hard Way Hatch a chicken from an egg or buy one from someone
In my chicken coop I have six chickens. I got six from a feed store, four from a farm and one from my sisters friend. So that equals eleven, but minus that by four because they were eaten by hawks and one because it ran away. Just recently the chicken that my family got by my sisters friend broke her leg and has a horrible limp.
10
The Hard Way Feed the chicken and care for it for about 4 to 5 months
My chickens toke little bit longer than five months to lay. Mine toke six. If you hold the chickens a lot then they will lay eggs younger.
11
The Hard Way Collect the eggs
I collect the eggs every afternoon, there are usually four or five eggs because one is not laying yet and because sometimes they get lazy.
12
The Hard Way Light a fire
13
The Hard Way Fry the eggs on a pan over fire!
I have never really fried an egg over the fire until last weekend. I fried the egg because I knew that I had to do it for my speech. The hard way really did seem to be very hard. So coming back to my first question “Which came first the chicken or the egg?” It turns out that it doesn’t really matter, as long as you know how to fry an egg.
