Presents – The MENTA Method Certification Training Presented by: IST Team Description: The MENTA Method is designed to provide educators with an effective continuum of responses to student behavior with an emphasis on the use of least restrictive intervention procedures. Participants will also learn to use safe intervention tools should a crisis situation warrant the use of physical management procedures. This training will provide districts with the tools to comply with Illinois Law 105ILCS 5/ Public Act The one-day certification training session is designed for participants who are new to the MENTA Method. Visit Professional Development to register. “Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them become what they are capable of becoming” –Goethe Workshop Details Registration Please register on line at by April 10, Registration will be on a first come first served basis, with a class size of 20 participants as space is limited. CPDU’s, CEU’s and Certificates of Attendance will be available upon completion an evaluation which will be made available to each attendee at the conclusion of the class. You are required to commit to the full day if you are unable to do this please do not register to allow for those who can meet the commitment. There will be a one half hour lunch break. To insure there is enough time to eat, it is advisable that you bring your lunch. The Highland Hills office has a refrigerator and a microwave at your disposal should require it. MENTA maintains a policy that SASED trainers may only train staff who are employees of SASED or one of our 18 member districts.
