The fluorescent receptor chains exhibit their characteristic fluorescent signatures: images and spectra of human IFN-γR2/GFP and IFN-γR2/EBFP transfected into cells. The fluorescent receptor chains exhibit their characteristic fluorescent signatures: images and spectra of human IFN-γR2/GFP and IFN-γR2/EBFP transfected into cells. FL-IFN-γR2/GFP and FL-IFN-γR2/EBFP were each separately transfected into COS cells. A camera was used with the confocal microscope to obtain the images for human IFN-γR2/GFP (top left) and IFN-γR2/EBFP (top right) in COS-1 cells. Similar images were obtained for IFN-γR1/BFP and IFN-γR1/EBFP (not shown). The spectral signatures of GFP (green) and EBFP (blue) can be seen in COS-1 cells expressing FL-IFN-γR2/GFP and FL-IFN-γR2/EBFP (lower left and right, respectively). The black curves represent the relative epifluorescence of the cells in the absence of the respective transfected fluorescent receptor chains. Christopher D. Krause et al.
