Write a dialogue between a loyalist and patriot on whether the colonies should declare independence from Britain.
Make sure your dialogue:
-contains at least two reasons why Patriots support independence
-contains at least two reasons why Loyalists don’t support independence.
-begins with these three lines:
Loyalist: I can’t understand why you want the colonies to break away from the British Empire. It’s just not a good idea.
Patriot: Not a good idea? I’ll tell you why it’s a great idea.
Loyalist: Okay, but you need to hear my side of it, too.
