2. Introduction
For our project we chose to make a bike rack. We wanted to make a change in Georgetown with all of the boring and non-original bike racks. We then came up with the idea to make a bike rack that is not only unique and appealing but that also meets all of the criteria needed.

4. Criteria Design and model a new and creative bike rack
Has to be able to lock at least one wheel and the frame
Be able to lock different styles of bikes and different sizes
Hold a minimum of 3 bikes and up to 8 bikes

7. Description (the base)
Our bike rack is placed in a 4 x 10 foot concrete base
The bike racks are covered on three sides with glass walls that are up to 8 feet high
The back wall has a 3 foot gap from the bottom to place your front tire through

8. Description (single bike rack)
The single bike rack we created includes:
3 separate bars on different levels
The bars are extendable for different lengths
Chains are equipped with each bar to secure the bike
The entire model has 5 separate bike racks within the base

9. Dimensions Base to top bar = 46” Bar radius = 31/32” – 1”
Between each bar = 10 ½”
Top bar length = 29”
Middle bar length = 20”
Lower bar length = 10”

Concrete base

11. What Makes It Unique? The bars extend out to apply to any bike length
Includes 3 levels of bars for small bikes, bigger bikes and wheels
A chain is provided so you don’t have to worry about bringing a chain
It has a glass roof to protect the bikes from weather conditions
We can change our advertisements on the wall

12. Why It Is Better Then Other Bike Racks?
It can fit all sizes and types of bikes comfortably
Very simple and fast to lock and unlock
Can use any type of lock with no issue
Its cheaper in price
It secures the bike properly
