1 Lesson Practical to measure the resistive forces of a parachute What is the resultant force on the particle. If it has a mass of 5kg. What is it’s acceleration?

2 Fred Lemming (mass 80 kg) decides to go on holiday to Paris so that he can throw himself off the Eiffel Tower. He uses his umbrella to slow his acceleration and it takes him 15 seconds to fall the 325m from the top of the tower. Assuming his acceleration remains constant, find the Resistance force produce by the umbrella. Take g = 10 ms-2.

3 If we drop my home made parachute off the balcony in the PAC what measurements would we need to make in order to calculate the resistance force it produces when falling? What assumptions would we be making?
