Colombia is the second most biologically diverse country on Earth

Biologists save the location where an individual of a species has been spotted.
This information is saved on a data base.

4. Problem
Database containing the location of each spotted individual.
Map Containing information about temperature, air pressure, altitude above sea level, etc.

5. Goal
A map with the probability of a species of surviving for each coordinate of Colombia

6. Application Consists of R scripts
R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms, Windows and MacOS.

9. Application This process can be applied for more than 600 species.
Each job is independent from the other.
Each job takes aproximately 1 hour to complete
We also plan to merge all the maps to get a broader view of the biological diversity of Colombia
