LOVE FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH AND NOT FOR MONEY, PERSONAL INTERESTS, AND/OR ANY OTHER WORLDLY MATTERS.

BEFRIEND PERSONS OF WISDOM AND GOOD MANNERS BASED ON A GENUINE UNDERSTANDING OF TRUE ISLAM.
OUR PROPHET (PBUH) SAID:
“PEOPLE ALIKE GATHER TOGETHER, THEREFORE, CONSIDER WHOM YOU BEFRIEND.”

is a strange thing....
We find ourselves telling each other the deepest details of our lives….
Things we don't even share with our families who raised us….

5. TRUE COMPANIONS
RESPECT THE PRIVACY OF EACH OTHER BY NOT REVEALING EACH OTHER’S SINS.
ADVISE THE OTHER PATIENTLY AND NICELY AGAINST COMMITTING EVIL DEEDS; NEVER DESPAIR WHILE PERSISTING IN THIS ATTEMPT.

6. TRUE COMPANIONS
ARE LOYAL TO EACH OTHER, NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES ARE.
CHECK ON EACH OTHER; SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER IN GOOD/BAD TIMES;
SEE TO THE NEEDS OF THEIR FAMILIES, ESPECIALLY IF ONE BECAME DISTANT OR TRAVELED FOR QUITE SOME TIME.
A Confidant?
A Lover?
A Fellow junkie?
A Shoulder to cry on?
An Ear to listen?
A Heart to feel?...

7. TRUE COMPANIONS GREET EACH OTHER ON THE WAY RUN FOR HELP WHEN NEEDED,
PROVIDE ADVICE AS NECESSARY,
BLESS ONE ANOTHER UPON SNEEZING,
ARE THERE WHEN DEATH BEFALLS.
PROTECT EACH OTHER FROM GOSSIP.
A Friend
is all these things...
and more.

8. TRUE COMPANIONS
WORK IN THE INTEREST OF EACH OTHER AND FAVOUR THE OTHER
DON’T LET DISPUTES IMPACT NEGATIVELY THEIR COMPANIONSHIP.
ARE EMPATHETIC OF ONE ANOTHER’S BAD REACTIONS, WHICH ARE SOMETIMES NOT UP TO EXPECTATIONS.
REMEMBER IN PUBLIC AND IN SECRET THE BEST TRAITS OF THE OTHER. .
No matter
where we met, ....
I call you Friend
We may have our disagreements...
We may argue...
We may concern one another...
FRIENDSHIP is a unique bond that lasts through it all....

10. TRUE COMPANIONS
PROVIDE HELP WHEN NEEDED “A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED.”
ARE IN THE SERVICE OF ONE ANOTHER.
ARE KIND, HUMBLE.
ALLAH, THE SUBLIME SAYS:
“AND BE KIND AND HUMBLE TO THE BELIEVERS WHO FOLLOW YOU.”
It is true great things come in small packages.
Once the package of FRIENDSHIP has been opened, it can never be closed...
It is a constant book always written...
Waiting to be read...
And enjoyed.

11. TRUE COMPANIONS
ARE SUPPORTIVE WHEN INJUSTICE IS DONE AGAINST A COMPANION.
ARE SUPPORTIVE WHEN A COMPANION COMMITS INJUSTICE AGAINST OTHERS BY PREVENTING INJUSTICE.

12. TRUE COMPANIONS
SEEK EXCUSES, FORGIVE ONE ANOTHER’S WRONG-DOINGS AND ACCEPT REASONS.
NEVER FORGET TO BE COURTEOUS
BELIEVING THAT:
“IF OUR BELOVED ONE COMMITTED A WRONG-DOING THAT HURT US SO MUCH, HIS MERITS WOULD ALWAYS INTERCEDE.”

13. TRUE COMPANIONS WELCOME FRIEND’S VISIT(S),
MEET WITH A SMILE, AND ARE HOSPITABLE.
SEEK TO GIVE PRESENTS (I.E., NOT ONLY ON SPECIAL OCCASIONS).
NEVER EXPECT A REWARD FROM A FRIEND.
Friendships forged are a construct stronger than steel built as a foundation....
Necessary for life...
And
Necessary for love.

14. TRUE COMPANIONS
NEVER REMIND A FRIEND OF WRONG-DOINGS OR FAVORS, SEEK TO FORGIVE AND OVERLOOK SUCH EVIL DEEDS.
NEVER ALLOW ARGUMENTS TO PREVAIL, AS THIS ENCOURAGES DISPUTES.
Friends...
You and me...
You brought another friend…
And then there were 3...
We started our group...
Our circle of friends...
And like that circle... there is no beginning no end...

15. TRUE COMPANIONS
NEVER TRUST FALSE ASSUMPTION, FOR THIS MAY LEAD TO FAVORING SUSPICION OVER TRUTH.
OUR PROPHET (PBUH) SAID:
“NEVER TRUST YOUR SUSPICION, FOR IT IS THE BIGGEST LIE EVER COMMITTED.”
We've Been Friends for Such a Long and Lovely Time
There is no Friend like the Old Friend who has shared our morning days,
No Greeting like his Welcome,
No homage like his Praise;
Fame is the scentless Sunflower, with a gaudy crown of gold;
But Friendship is the breathing Rose, with sweets in every fold.

16. TRUE COMPANIONS
NEVER FAVOR AN ENEMY OR REVEAL ONE ANOTHER’S SECRET(S), OR BREAK PROMISES TO ONE ANOTHER
ARE THE FIRST TO CONVEY GOOD TIDINGS
ENCOURAGE SUCCESS AND CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT.
PAY VISITS, FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH.

PRAY, AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, FOR EACH OTHER (PRIVATELY AND/OR PUBLICALLY.
A part of me is put into my friends...
Some it is my humor...
Some it is my listening ear...
Some it is real life experiences...
Some it is my romanticism...
but with all, it is friendship.
