Specifically, a dress code that reinforces good manners, good taste and a realistic view of how to prepare them for college and work environment. I would like to share with you a eight year study published as the book The School Uniform Movement and What it Tells Us About American Education (2004) from the University of Missouri-Columbia, which claims the following; that uniform policies don’t curb violence or behavioral problems in schools. They don’t cultivate student self-esteem and motivation. They don’t balance the social-status differences that often separate students. And they don’t improve academic achievement. How did I do? Are my claims well based? How did I do it?
