EDX Data Exchange Transforming what we do for STUDENTS
19
Evaluation of Transfer Credit
17,468 transcripts in academic year Approx. 1/5 from CO institutions Current process Manual keying of data Up to 30 business day turn around Transfer articulation rules (N = 290,978) Future: EDX data exchange 2 business day turn around when transcript received in EDX format Decreased errors
20
EDX – Electronic Data Exchange
EDI and XML formats most common Exchange education records electronically between institutions Securely Efficiently We are choosing to skip OCR This is a STRETCH goal – not an easy lift
21
u.achieve Connector We’re asking for your help to purchase this connector. $13,750 one-time funding (full cost, year 1) Will request 50% of on-going support (year 2 and forward) Project timeline: 12 months, after winter/spring purchase Questions?
22
Certified Electronic Diplomas
Seeking UTFAB feedback
23
In exploration mode… Common on the marketplace
Official, secure, verifiable electronic diploma Graduates may provide CeCredential number and CSU URL on resume Download once, upload to devices, share as often as desired Allows students to post diplomas on LinkedIn Solves a problem for COB, CVMBS We could show concentrations on electronic diplomas Would meet students’ needs for working abroad Now currently requires notarization of diploma and a student’s visit to the Secretary of State office in Denver
25
Is there interest? Cost (as of SP18) Questions & feedback?
Option 1 – Student Pricing $10.95 each at point of graduation $2K annual cost for validation service Option 2 – Purchase for all $3.90 each at point of graduation Estimate $28K total cost (7,196 graduates) Questions & feedback?
