To Select a Blank Publication Click the desired thumbnail in the template gallery to create a blank publication in the Publisher window Figure 4-2: display of blank page in workspace and Page Number button

To Create a Custom Page Size Click the ‘Choose Page Size’ button to display the list of standard page sizes and options for other sizes Click ‘Create New Page Size’ at the bottom of the list to display the Create New Page Size dialog box Type the desired name for the new page size Click the Layout type button to display the list of layouts Click the desired layout type Set the desired width in the Width text box Set the desired height in the Height text box

To Create a New Color Scheme Click the More button to display the Colors Scheme gallery Click ‘Create New Color Scheme’ to display the Create New Color Scheme dialog box Type the desired color scheme name in the ‘Color scheme name’ text box Select the desired colors using the New buttons Figure 4-9: display of Scheme colors area with Accent 1, Color gallery, New button and Red button

To Choose a Color Not in the Gallery In the Create New Color Scheme dialog box, click the New button associated with the color you want to change Click More Colors to display the Colors dialog box If necessary, click the Standard tab and then click the desired color Click the OK Button to select the chosen color Click the Save button to save the new color scheme

11 Custom Font Schemes To Create a New Font Scheme
Click the Scheme Fonts button to display the Scheme Fonts gallery Click ‘Create New Font Scheme’ in the Scheme Fonts gallery to display the Create New Font Scheme dialog box Type the desired font scheme name in the Font scheme name text box Select the desired Heading font and Body font Click the Save button to save the new font scheme Figure 4-16: display of chosen fonts appear in Sample box, Gabriola heading font, Arial body font, Body font arrow, Save button and Save button on Quick Access Toolbar

With the graphic selected, click the Rotate Objects button to display the Rotate gallery Click Free Rotate to display the rotation handles Point to the desired rotation handle. If necessary, select the graphic to ungroup Display the DRAWING TOOLS FORMAT tab Click the Ungroup button to ungroup the graphic

If necessary, select the picture and display the PICTURE TOOLS FORMAT tab Click the Ungroup button to begin the ungroup process When the Microsoft Publisher dialog box is displayed, click the Yes button to convert the picture into a Microsoft Office drawing object

Right-click the desired graphic to display the shortcut menu Click ‘Save as Building Block’ to display the Create New Building Block dialog box Type the desired title in the Title text box Type the desired description in the Description text box Type the desired keywords, each separated by a comma, in the Keywords text box Click the OK button to save the building block Figure 4-32: display of Create New Building Block dialog box

Select the object you wish to align Display the DRAWING TOOLS FORMAT tab Click the Align button to display the Align gallery Click the desired alignment setting

Select the desired text Click the Font Color arrow on the HOME tab to display the Font Color gallery Click Fill Effects to display the Format Shape dialog box Click the Gradient fill button to display the gradient settings Click the Preset gradients button

Click the desired gradient Click the Direction button to display the Direction gallery Click the desired direction Click the gradient stop you wish to change Click the Position up or down arrow until it reaches the desired value Click the OK button Click outside the text box to view the fill effect

Click the WordArt button on the INSERT tab to display the WordArt gallery Click the desired style Type the text for the WordArt in the Edit WordArt Text dialog box Click the Font arrow and select the desired font Click the Size arrow and then click the desired size Click the OK button to close the dialog box and insert the WordArt graphic

To Delete Content from the Building Block Library Click the ‘Show Building Block Library Dialog Box Launcher’ to display the Building Block Library dialog box Click the Page Parts folder to open it Right-click the building block to delete Click Delete on the shortcut menu to delete the graphic If Publisher displays a dialog box asking if you want to delete the building block permanently, click the Yes button Click the Close button to close the dialog box

To Delete the Custom Color Scheme Click the More button to display the Color Scheme gallery Right-click the color scheme you wish to delete Click Delete Scheme on the shortcut menu to delete the color scheme When Publisher displays a dialog box asking if you want to delete the color scheme, click the Yes button
