p & k separation not good enough- currently about 1 in 10-2 p misidentified as k
Need to improve by a factor of 100

3. CERN Experiment Very-forward direction experiment under way
Need TR to identify secondary particles
Have 8m to optimize photon production

4. GEANT4 Simulations So far have only been done on a very small scale
Ideal simulations could take days to weeks to run
HPC allows for reasonable runtimes
