Unlocking fall 2015 Standing at the crossroads: Developing a Biblical worldview in an increasingly skeptical world Standing at the crossroads: Developing a Biblical worldview in an increasingly skeptical world If you don’t have a Biblical worldview, Satan will give you one.

Unlocking fall 2015 love Vs Selfishness

Unlocking fall 2015 Self improvement, self actualization, self esteem,
I reject your reality and substitute my own

Unlocking fall 2015 I know I can’t have it all, but having too much seems achievable.

Unlocking fall 2015 The moral fabric of society is being systematically unraveled. Our families are coming apart at an ever increasing level. Our leadership is immersed in sexual perversion. Not just politics, but industry and the church. One of the great dangers of today is redefinition. Redefinition of family, redefinition of marriage. Redefinition of sin We are impowering the voice of sin while quenching the voice of the Word We have redefined good and evil. The Bible says “Don’t be drunk”. The world says, “Don’t drink and drive”. The Bible says “No sex before marriage”. The world says “Have safe sex” The Bible says, “Believe in God”. The world says, “Believe in yourself” The Bible says, “Speak with grace”. The world says, “speak your mind” The Bible says, “Follow God’s heart”. The world says, “Follow your own heart” The Bible says, “Be a servant”. The world says, “Grab what you can” The world says, “Death is the end”. The Bible says “Death is the beginnining” Polygamy is mans attempt to legalize adultery. Politically correct is exactly the same as lukewarm. Our Biblical principles have been hijacked by secular humanism. So that that which Isa 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil. We are being controlled by emotion. Feel good. Happiness. You are a child as long as you are controlled by your emotions. Faith is what controls the heart of a believer.

Unlocking fall 2015 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NASB) 1  But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2  For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3  unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4  treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5  holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NASB) 1  But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2  For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3  unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4  treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5  holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. It appears that we have become blind In the land of the blind, a one-eyed man is king. Anyone with anything that looks like a reason for the things that are wrong with is us is perceived to be a prophet It is so much easier to deal with the sin of the world than the sin that is within me.

Unlocking fall 2015 Paul came to Corinth for the first time on his second missionary journey toward the close of the year 51 AD. We know that he was successful here by what Luke records in the Book of Acts in chapter 18:1-7 Paul stayed in Corinth 18 months and left in 53 AD. Although the book is titled 1st Corinthians, we know that he wrote a previous letter to them from 1st Cor 5:9. Corinth was a wicked city even as wicked cities go. Even the name Corinth meant to profligate (recklessly extravagant or wasteful in the use of resources. Licentious, libertine, debaucherous, degenerate, society)

Unlocking fall 2015 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 1  If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2  If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3  And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (NASB) 1  If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

Unlocking fall 2015 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 4  love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5  does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6  does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7  bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8  love never fails 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 4  love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5  does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6  does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7  bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8  love never fails

Unlocking fall 2015 1 John 4:16 16  We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 1 John 4:16 16  We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. Euclid - “Things which are equal to the same thing are also equal to one another.”

It is time to DO love Unlocking fall 2015
What time is it? It is time to DO love Jesus didn’t just preach love, he did love. He lived to love. Jesus loved people more than they deserve I ran into an old friend a while back. After the usual perfunctory greetings he said to me, “So, what have you done lately?” Today is the only day that you can live meaningfully. Feeling welcomed is not the same as feeling included. We need to move past being a collection of familiar strangers God uses generosity to present the image of Christ. Generous with our love We want to love the people of Eagan into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Small things done with great love will change the world. Legalism is the fruit of arrested revelation. We must continue to press into the Holy Spirit for fresh revelation. We must continue to help each other realize their purposes and callings We must continue to mend our nets. Fish slip through the holes of unmended nets.
