1.Improving the patient journey
You looked after my son and gave me some really valuable advice so me and his dad know what we need to do to support him and also how he can access help himself. We had no idea what services are available for him as he is 17 and seems to have slipped through the net. Thank you for your time and care I've seen the team a few times now and they know how to deal with me when I lose it They've always been respectful and I know I've been difficult and the police have had to be called. I'm now with a community team because of the triage team My partner was really unwell and needed help but no one was listening to me the team saw him and got him the help so quickly He is much better and the man I love is now coming back to me I wasn't judged and the nurse made me see that I wasn't mad or crazy she listened and we talked about my thoughts and it made a lot more sense .I now have options about where I can get help when I need it

1.Improving the patient journey
Started really scary and I didn't like all the police about and i thought they were going to arrest me but the nurse explained why they were there. When they left I felt calmer and the team were friendly and helpful. I know how to get help so this doesn't happen again and they reassured my friends who were worried if they had done the right thing by calling the police If you lot hadn't turned up I know I would of been in carted off It would of been a different situation I know I need help or I'm gonna loose everything. Thank you for sorting me out on that night and getting me my appointment so quick I could of talked to you lot all night and I'm not that sorta bloke Cannot thank you all enough I cannot put into words how amazing they were and how much support they gave to my husband and I. We felt we were speaking to experts who would ensure we got the right outcome for our son. We had both been through so much, as had our son, who by now was afraid of what was happening to him. The Mental Health Nurse quickly came to the conclusion that he was not on the right medication, and tried get different medication for him that night. It was difficult for them, but they did after numerous phone calls. He told them he would not take the new medication so they stepped in to get [our son] admitted to hospital. The doctors, who were also fantastic, arrived but as he would not agree to go, [our son] was sectioned. Throughout this the Street Triage team were so supportive, explained what was going on, were lovely to my son, but above all were so determined to help us. I really don’t know what would have happened if they were not there. The work this team do cannot be measured against any standard department, as the people they are dealing with are not straightforward and all need a variety of treatment and support. My husband and I are eternally grateful for what they did. Please pass on our sincere thanks to all those who came to our house
